Renowned YouTuber MrBeast, also known as Jimmy Donaldson, has recently formed a significant collaboration with the Charlotte Hornets. As part of this partnership, his snack company’s logo will be prominently displayed on the jerseys of the NBA team. This innovative move not only enhances brand visibility for MrBeast’s company but also highlights the growing influence and appeal of online content creators in traditional sports arenas. The Charlotte Hornets recently revealed that Feastables has been selected as their official jersey patch partner for the upcoming 2023-2024 season. This partnership will see Feastables’ logo prominently displayed on the team’s jerseys, further solidifying their presence within the basketball community.
The Feastables logo is set to make a double appearance on jerseys of basketball teams associated with the Charlotte Hornets. Not only will it be featured on the jerseys of the Charlotte Hornets themselves, but it will also be stitched onto the jerseys worn by players of the Greensboro Swarm, which is the NBA G League team linked to the Hornets. Additionally, fans of esports can expect to see the Feastables logo on jerseys worn by members of Hornets Venom GT, an NBA 2K League esports team. The Charlotte Hornets are taking their partnership with Feastables to another level by incorporating their branding into the backdrops used during press conferences and interviews. This move demonstrates their commitment to showcasing the collaboration and creating a cohesive visual identity for both brands.
In January 2022, MrBeast introduced Feastables, an online platform that has gained recognition for its sale of MrBeast-branded chocolate bars and cookies. With the support of Night Media’s venture division, a talent management agency, and the expertise of Jim Murray, former president of RxBar, the protein snack bar company, he successfully established his brand. Feastables experienced remarkable success after its launch, generating over $10 million in just a few months.
“This partnership is a first of its kind, and I am excited to see how creator-brands and the NBA continue to work together into the future,” Night Media CEO Reed Duchscher says. “The Hornets are obviously one of the most exciting teams in the NBA and are a favorite among young people, so Feastables could not be more excited to partner.”
Additionally, the Hornets Fan Shop will offer Charlotte Hornets jerseys featuring the Feastables branding for sale. In addition to Feastables, MrBeast is the proud owner of MrBeastBurger. This unique venture operates on a ghost kitchen business model, which involves workers preparing delivery-only orders from established restaurants or other locations. In a recent incident, MrBeast filed a lawsuit against his virtual kitchen partner in July. The reason behind the legal action was the alleged sale of “inedible” burgers to customers. Surprisingly, the partner retaliated by suing MrBeast as well.
