Moritz’s production company. After a slow couple of years of development, the show was picked up by Disney+, and the streamer put in a 10-episode order. President of Disney Branded Television Ayo Davis explained (via D23), “R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps franchise is a pop culture phenomenon that holds a special place in the hearts… We are delighted to bring this spooky new series to audiences everywhere in a big way.” The series was shot between October 2022 and March 2023 in Vancouver.
