According to a report from Billboard on October 13th, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign were in talks with distributors to release a collaborative project. It was mentioned that West is expected to make a decision on this matter in the near future. Ye’s upcoming album will serve as his first release since making a series of offensive comments last year, specifically targeting the Jewish community. As a result, Def Jam’s parent company Universal Music Group decided to distance themselves from the artist.According to a representative from the label, Def Jam’s association with Kanye West as a recording artist, their partnership with GOOD Music label venture, and Ye’s merchandise agreement with Bravado all came to an end in 2021.
According to a report by Billboard on October 15, it was mentioned that Kanye West’s team is in the process of organizing a concert in Italy to promote their joint album. Despite initial plans and the construction of a stage at RCF Arena in Reggio Emilia, Italy, the rapper’s performance alongside his wife Bianca Censori is looking less likely to happen. According to sources cited by Billboard Italy, the event is now deemed “very unlikely” to proceed as originally anticipated.
Based on Ty’s post, it seems that the promotional plan has undergone a change. Instead of the initial concept, they are now planning a “multi stadium listening event” on November 3rd. However, there is still a possibility that this event might also include international locations.
